Public Art Proposal

Town of Aurora general committee meeting scheduled to propose a public wall relief depicting the theme of "Aurora" by Morley Shayuk. The artwork has been designed to be integrated into the existing architecture of the main stairwell location on the top floor of Aurora Town Hall.

Imaging Disaster


Includes 2 new essays by curators Cassandra Getty and Adam Lauder that stage encounters between historical and contemporary visions of environmental and social crisis. Focusing on connections between the work of 19th century Quebec painter Joseph Légaré and contemporary artists, including IAIN BAXTER&, Carol Conde, Karl Beveridge, Edward Burtynski, Kelly Wallace, and Morley Shayuk.
